In this unit, I learned how to properly take care of my space. That way I can prevent cross contamination and foodborne illness to myself and those around me. Using vinegar, lemon, and baking soda acts as a safe substitue for hazardous cleaners. So incase I happen to not have the usual cleaner from the store, I can use one or more of those. I learned that parishable foods can only sit out for 2 hours until it becomes unsafe to eat.
What I liked most about this unit was being able to cook at home, Obviously, we wouldn't normally be cooking at home, but I truly liked cooking at home and for my family. Being able to cook at home actually made me excited to live on my own and cook good meals for myself. Some things I can improve on fromt this unit is being aware of not touching my face or hair. I found that I did that a lot and didn't even notice when I did. It was so easy to just move a few pieces of hair out of the way.
